Children’s Therapy

Christian1Alejandro* was a happy, boisterous child…

He played all kinds of sports: football, basketball, and track.

He had a lot of friends, and they came over on the weekends to hang out or spend the night.

And when they weren’t at his house, he was at theirs. His friends’ parents always talked about what a pleasure it was to have Alejandro in their homes—how he was a “fine young man.”

And he was—at school, too. He made good grades and found several ways to volunteer his time and talent.

But that all changed the summer before 9th grade.

It was like he didn’t care anymore. Even his hygiene was slipping.

His grades started dropping… and he stopped hanging out with friends as he used to.

He started to become a bit of a “loner.” He only wanted to be “left alone” in his room.

And if you said anything about how he had changed, you got an angry outburst that just didn’t seem like Alejandro.

Christian1Not just normal “teen stuff”…

At first, Alejandro’s mom thought it was “just a phase” or “hormonal changes,” but she knew there was more to the story.

Turns out… she was right.

He never talked about it, but Alejandro had been struggling to fit in and be accepted. Kids at school were making fun of him.

To cope, Alejandro had been eating more, so the weight gain didn’t help.

He was an only child, so he didn’t have brothers or sisters to talk to… and he thought it would be embarrassing to talk to his parents about what was going on.

So, Alejandro came to therapy.

Alejandro’s parents wanted him to have a worthy, fulfilling life.

It broke their hearts to see him struggling to adapt to the world. Worse, they felt completely helpless.

With a caring adult who wasn’t his parent, Alejandro could be vulnerable and share his emotions. He was so happy to be seen and heard without judgment.

Therapy helped Alejandro, and it can help your child, too.

Your child can overcome their struggles and get back to a happy life.

You’re here because you care. Now…
